Very competitive prices for high-quality trees and plants
J. van Aken en Zn opened the tree nursery in 1890. The company began with the cultivation of whips (inosculation and breeding). Three generations and 35 hectare later, J. van Aken en Zn cultivates a wide range of avenue and park trees that have been transplanted 2, 3, 4 and 5 times.
Pleaching
Pleached trees are becoming ever more popular. Most of our clients choose freshly pleached trees because they can determine the exact measurement of the frame they want to add. Whether you want 3 or 7 tiers, everything is possible and there is plenty of choice from our wide selection of trees.
Multi-stemmed trees
In addition to a wide selection of trees and plants, we also offer a variety of hedges and multi-stemmed trees in sizes ranging from 80-100 to 4 to 5 metres. Besides wild species, such as Betula pendula (silver birch) and Carpinus betulus (European hornbeam), we also carry Gleditsia triacanthos Sunburst (Honey Locust) and Pyrus calleryana Chanticleer.
Conifers
Our product range would not be complete without conifers, which we carry in the sizes 80 to 100 centimetres up to 6 and 7 metres tall. Common species are Taxus baccata (English yew), Thuja plicata (Western Red Cedar) Prunus Novita and Prunus caucasica, both Cherry Laurels.
